- I've only been an herbivore since May of 2007, and I went through all the basic transitions... first no meat, then no eggs, then no dairy (with the exception of cheese)... next thing I knew animal welfare had become a part of my soul, and giving up every and all animal products became less of a deprivation and more of a total satisfaction. With much thanks to The VeganFreaks, Compassionate Cook, and the one and only Megan Majeski... I have become compassionate, freaky, healthy, happy, and a pretty damned good cook (much to my suprise!)
