About Me:
33 years young, cleveland girl, vegan for one over a year (as of may 7th), married to my wonderful hubby john, also a proud vegan (one year august 4th). hubby is also a terrific artist...you should check out his site at www.artsmack.com. we are expecting our first baby this upcoming august, a little boy by the name of luca guillermo. our little veggie boy will be born at a birth center in wilmington, delaware....naturally of course! love animals and believe that all beings fear suffering and no being wishes to die. i am vegan for ethical reasons. environmental and of course vegan for my health. i look forward to raising our son to be vegan and hope to meet more veggie moms and dads out there. so presently, we live in southern dela-where about 3 miles from the beach. my hubby is a full time artist and i work at a little natural/organic market with great people and an awesome organic garden. my hubby also sells solar & wind power...helping people to go green and get off the grid a bit. i am a marathon runner, ex division 1 soccer player, love being outside, hangin with my man, chilling with my cats, adore organic food, wonderful vegan treats, traveling and the arts. we killed our tv about 2 months ago and are loving are tv free life. i totally dig npr and don't miss all the wasted time we spent in front of the boob tube. proud members of farm sanctuary (www.farmsanctuary.org)...a terrific non profit group, dedicated to ending cruelty to farm animals and promotes compassionate living through rescue, education and advocacy. glad to be here, happy to get to know yah....vegan peace and love!!

The Christmas Story Continued!

I love The Christmas Story and my little story to tell is that i was actually in this movie...Yep, in the movie!!! Parts of The Christmas Story were filmed in Cleveland, Ohio and my sister worked for the department store where they were filming. They asked family and friends if they wanted to be extras so my sister and I were a part of this wonderful film. I was probably 10 years old and my sister in her early 20's. A bit of musing from me today after reading some things on a VegHaven member's page.

......Nature and the Gods and Goddesses of it are sometimes used by evil and by good, upsetting the yin and yang of our mortal human lives.

The wolf story, in my eyes, is the story of the older parent who is easily swayed by negativity, doubt and fear and so, succumbs to evil, denial, envy, domination as a way of life. The birth of life is the peaceful side of the wolf. The child brings hope, love, compassiona for the earth, much like indians did, but without the warfare.

Just thought you might like to hear from me.

May your paths all have peace and evolutionary revelations littering them like fairies in the woods soaring with joy over the birth of a new member.

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions. I esp. like the brewski one. I think I'm going leave a cooler in my car and fantisize about it the whole time. That's one of the things I really like about duathlons and triathlons, the local tri-club has free micro-brews for after the race.
