Are you Vegetarian, Vegan or something else?
My entire family are Vegan, or at least transitioning Vegan. We are still working out little details such as reading labels and learning to eat at restaurants. We just refrain from anything we know to be animal products and are learning as we go along more and more.
About Me:
I'm many faces. Mommy, wife, stepmom, vegan, pagan, southerner transplant, recovering punk rock girl. I'm 33, my wonderful husband is an IT coordinator and I own my own business called Professional Housewives. Our kids are 12, 10 and 6. The 9 year old lives with his mom, with whom we actually have a pretty decent relationship believe it or not and everyone gets along. I'm from the Seattle area, but moved down to NC in 2003 and we've been here ever since!

oh lordy help me

Long story short we had 2 years of a financial nightmare thanks to the policies of our USMC. Insert grumbles and months of me forgiving red tape and concentrating on blessings. This year we are caught up on bills and I have LISTS of things to be thankful for, so a small group of people in our community helped us out with some groceries. Living a vegan lifestyle for me was similiar to how some people describe their relationship to religion and the deity of their choice. You can only do what you can do and from my teachings and from what I understand, it's the intention that matters the most. Ur intention and my intentions are okey-doe-keee, so it's all good. Oy, the labels! Yeah, you can never stop reading them. I can't tell you how many things I've had to return because "it just has to be vegan." Label reading, it's got to be an obsession.

Glad you're here. Yay! And Yay for Vegan Families. If more people knew how really easy it is to be vegan, so many more people would do it. Kudos!
